Workshop

A training workshop is an intensive, facilitated group learning event where participants actively engage in skill practice, discussion, case study analysis, or collaborative problem-solving. Unlike a lecture or presentation, a workshop is defined by its high-engagement, participant-driven format.

Workshops are particularly effective for developing interpersonal skills — communication, negotiation, conflict resolution, leadership — where the learning happens through practice and peer feedback, not through passive content consumption. Role plays, case studies, simulations, and structured reflection are common workshop methods.

In a blended learning design, workshops serve as the live, experiential component — providing the human interaction, immediate feedback, and emotional resonance that digital formats cannot replicate. They are most powerful when preceded by preparatory eLearning and followed by reinforcement resources.
