POSH Training

POSH training educates employees and managers on the Prevention of Sexual Harassment at the Workplace Act, 2013 — a legal requirement for all organisations in India.

Full Definition

POSH stands for the Prevention of Sexual Harassment at the Workplace Act, 2013 — Indian legislation that mandates all organisations with 10 or more employees to conduct annual awareness training for all staff, and additional sensitisation training for Internal Committee (IC) members.

POSH training must cover: what constitutes sexual harassment under the Act, the complaint filing process, the rights and responsibilities of employees and employers, and the role and composition of the Internal Committee. Training must be documented for compliance purposes.

A compliant POSH programme addresses awareness (understanding the Act), attitudes (recognising and challenging harassment culture), and action (knowing how to respond, report, or seek help). Legal compliance requires coverage of all employees — not just managers.

Aktrea's POSH training is developed by subject matter experts with legal background, and is available in eLearning, facilitated workshop, and mixed formats — with completion certificates and LMS-tracked records for audit readiness.
