Ethics & Compliance Training
Ethics and compliance training builds awareness of organisational values, codes of conduct, anti-bribery standards, and regulatory obligations to prevent corporate misconduct.
Full Definition
Ethics and compliance training covers the standards of behaviour that an organisation requires of its employees beyond minimum legal requirements. It encompasses codes of conduct, anti-bribery and anti-corruption (ABAC) policies, conflict of interest disclosure, whistleblower protection, and fair dealing principles.
In multinational organisations, ethics training must navigate multiple regulatory environments: FCPA (US), UK Bribery Act, and local equivalents. A programme that is legally compliant in one jurisdiction may require significant adaptation for another.
Effective ethics training does not simply recite policy. It uses realistic scenarios that present genuine moral dilemmas — situations where the 'right' answer is not obvious — to build ethical reasoning capability, not just policy compliance.
Aktrea's ethics and compliance programmes are developed with legal and compliance advisors, and are designed to satisfy audit and regulatory scrutiny while genuinely developing ethical awareness in the workforce.
